This one bedroom self-catering holiday apartment is situated in the La Mata beach resort of Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca. The property is located on the second floor of this apartment block, with views of the local area and the nearby Mediterranean Sea. Torresol is just a 10 minute walk from the nearest beach, and within a short walk of many bars, restaurants and supermarkets. La Mata also benefits from a choice of International airports; with Alicante airport just 30 minutes to the North, and Murcia (San Javier) a similar distance to the South. Both airports are serviced by a number of the budget airlines, from most major cities.

The apartment comprises:
Entrance hallway : with doors leading off to a double bedroom, bathroom and lounge area
Double bedroom : with two singles beds which can be placed together if the guests prefer to have it as a double bed. There is also a bedside table with a table lamp, shelving unit and double wardrobe.
Bathroom : The bathroom is fully tiled; there is a bath with shower over, toilet and wash hand basin with mirrored cabinet over.
Lounge/Dining area : Good sized lounge, with a large sofa/bed, coffee table, wall unit, television, and DVD player. The dining area has a dining table and four chairs. Also located within the lounge are patio doors leading to a balcony with a table and four chairs. The balcony overlooks the garden and swimming pool, plus it has the added benefit of sea views.
Kitchenette : Fitted kitchen, which consists of: electric two ring hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board, washing machine. The kitchen area is equipped with all necessary crockery and utensils to satisfy your self-catering requirements.
Communal Swimming Pool: The communal swimming pool is located within the centre of the complex, along with the landscaped gardens which can be viewed from the property. This also includes a separate paddling pool for children. The communal pool and garden areas is secured by locked gates, ensuring exclusive use to residents only, of this community facility.
Location and Activities
La Mata is ideally located for easy access to a choice of two international airports. Alicante to the North, is just 30 minutes away, whilst Murcia (San Javier) is located 30 minutes to the South. La Mata is situated close to the great salt lakes of Torrevieja and consequently boasts one of the healthiest climates in Europe, according to the World Health Organisation. This micro-climate is created as a result of the salt mixing with the air to maintain a comfortable humidity especially beneficial to arthritis sufferers.
The many 'Blue Flag' beaches of this region of the Costa Blanca are just a short walk away from the apartment, with many golf courses just a short drive away (pardon the pun!). Bars and restaurants are abundant in around La Mata, many are within easy walking distance of the apartment. A bus service is available just 100 metres from the property, which can take you in to Torrevieja town centre and all points en-route. Torrevieja is a pretty sea-side fishing port with an international marina, a very nice promenade with many side-walk cafes to sit and watch the world go by. There is a large indoor market place in Torrevieja, which is open during normal shopping hours, plus an outdoor market on Fridays which is one of the largest in Europe, and takes over most of the town centre.
Also, just a ten minute drive away is the new 'Ozone' leisure centre complex, which is situated between the Water Park and the Carrefour Hypermarket, and includes a Bowling Alley with 20 lanes, Pool Hall, Amusement Arcades, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Burger King, Casino, Multi-Screen Cinema, Shops, and many bars. New in March 2005: The 'Haberneras' shopping mall is now open, containing many Designer Shops, Bars, Children's Amusement Park, English Book Shop, Sports Shops, Electrical Stores, and a huge underground car park (currently free). All this under one roof!
Available activities in the area are many and varied. Torrevieja has facilities for Horse Riding, Wind Surfing, Sailing, Fishing, Boat Trips, a Water Park (seasonal), Sight Seeing, Shopping, Bowling (indoor and outdoor), Golf (at all levels). Many of these activities are also available in nearby Alicante city, which also has boat trips to Ibiza, and the 'Cort Ingles' department store, renowned throughout many cities of Spain. For the more adventurous visitor, a trip further North to Benidorm is just a two hour drive away offering many 'tourist attractions' including the Terra Mitica Theme Park, Mountain Excursions, Medieval Banquets, Safari Parks and many more outdoor experiences.
