An Introduction to Basic Spanish Click here to hear sound files

This very short introduction to the Spanish language is included here to provide you with some basic knowledge of the Spanish language before you embark on your holiday in Spain. You will of course gain additional benefit by purchasing one of the many Spanish phrase books available, but hopefully this will give you a start.   You may also download our own electronic phrase book from here - FREE of charge!

Each section has been designed to teach you the literal spelling, and by listening to the sound files, you will also learn the pronunciation of some of the more common words you will come across during your holiday in Spain. Just click on the words that are highlighted in blue to hear the spoken word.  (Of course you will need to have a sound card and speakers attached to your computer to benefit from the audio).

Free - Electronic Phrase Book

Our FREE electronic Spanish phrase book is also available for you to download, with more than 25 pages of everyday Spanish phrases for you to learn off line.

Or Visit Linguaphone to buy one of their courses on-line?

We hope you enjoy this short introductory course . . .
